The genius and legacy of Arcangelo Corelli as revealed in the brilliant music of his London followers Geminiani, Handel, and Stanley. A spirited celebration of the Baroque concerto grosso, concluding with Corelli’s own exuberant Concerto in D major.

In Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos we encounter the “widest spectrum of orchestral instruments in daring combinations” (Christoph Wolff ). “Every one of the six concertos set a precedent … and every one was to remain without parallel.” Our thrilling season finale features all six of these perennial favorites, performed together in one program on period instruments! Featuring an array of superb soloists and the winner of BCOC’s first annual young artist competition.
