baroque and classical music

Classical Baroque / October 27, 2017

BAroque music describes a style of European classical music extending from the year 1600 to approximately 1750. It forms a major portion of the classical music canon being widely studied, performed and listened to by enthusiasts today.

Among its composers are Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, George Frederic Handel, Henry Purcell, A. Corelli, and others. These composers made changes in musical notation along with developing new instrumental playing techniques. It may have been the most influential period for classical music to date.
